MODAL VERBS

The last class we saw “Modal Verbs”, but only two of them, “can and should”.

In the first one (Can) we use it to talk about a skill or ability; and in the second one (Should) to say when something is necessary or unnecessary (Obligation), or to give advice.

In sum of all, we made in the class a board about the time of each verb:

PAST	PRESENT	FUTURE
Could/ was able to.	Can (ability)	Will be able to.
Should (n’t) have done. I wish I had done. If only I had (n’t) done (Third conditional).	Should (n’t).	--------------

Then in the same class, in teams, we made a story using “should have done” or “I wish I had done” and we needed to finish the story with “If I only hadn’t boarded that bus”.
